Wyoming's at-large House seat features a structural Republican advantage rooted in the state's consistent partisan lean, with Donald Trump carrying the district by wide margins in recent cycles and no Democratic victory since 1978. Chuck Gray secured the GOP nomination in the August 2026 primary, prevailing in a crowded nine-candidate field with 25% of the vote as the open seat emerged after Harriet Hageman pursued a Senate bid. Lisa Kinney won the Democratic primary by a wide margin. Forecasters rate the contest Solid Republican, aligning with trader consensus that places Gray at 98.6%. Limited recent friction, including one primary rival's refusal to endorse Gray, has not altered the outlook. A major late scandal or turnout collapse could theoretically narrow the margin ahead of the November 3 general election, though historical patterns and current indicators suggest such shifts remain improbable.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
