Republican incumbent Mike Carey holds a strong position in Ohio’s 15th congressional district, rated Solid R by the Cook Political Report with an R+5 partisan voting index. Carey’s prior 56.5% general election margin, unopposed primary victory in May 2026, and established fundraising base reinforce his edge against Democratic nominee Don Leonard, who won a contested May primary. The suburban Columbus district’s structural Republican tilt and absence of major recent polling shifts or national developments altering turnout dynamics support trader consensus favoring the Republican outcome ahead of the November 3 general election. Limited surveys showing modest narrowing have not overcome these fundamentals.
