Recent polling shows President Trump's job approval hovering near historic second-term lows around 33-39 percent amid the ongoing Iran conflict and elevated gas prices weighing on economic sentiment. Weekly fluctuations in approval aggregates remain modest, creating tight trader balance around even odds as no single catalyst has produced sustained momentum in either direction over the past several days. Key variables that could shift the balance include release of new national surveys, diplomatic or military developments in Iran, movements in energy costs, or administration actions on trade and immigration that register quickly in public opinion tracking.
