Mary Miller's commanding position in the IL-15 House race reflects the district's strong Republican lean, with a Cook PVI of R+21 and consistent ratings from outlets such as Cook Political Report and Sabato's Crystal Ball labeling it safe or solid for the GOP. As the three-term incumbent, Miller secured her March 2026 primary with over 73 percent of the vote and holds a substantial fundraising advantage, exceeding $800,000 in cash on hand compared to challenger Jennifer Todd's limited resources. Todd advanced from a fragmented Democratic primary but faces structural barriers in a rural, agricultural district covering central and southern Illinois. Late developments that could narrow the gap include unexpected national shifts in voter turnout, major scandals, or health events affecting either candidate before the November 3 general election.
