Forecast consensus from National Weather Service and other models points to a minimum temperature in the mid-to-upper 60s°F for Chicago on September 17, driving the tight clustering of market-implied odds around the 64–71°F bins. Persistent cloud cover, possible showers, and light winds are expected to limit radiative cooling overnight, keeping lows elevated above the long-term average of 58°F. Short-range model runs show limited spread, with early-morning readings most likely between 66–68°F at official stations, though localized variations or timing of any precipitation could shift the exact minimum by a degree or two. With resolution imminent, traders are weighting the latest guidance and historical analogs for similar synoptic patterns.
