Incumbent Democratic Rep. Josh Riley faces Republican nominee Peter Oberacker in New York's 19th congressional district on November 3, 2026. Riley secured the Democratic nomination without opposition after the June 23 primary, while Oberacker won the Republican contest decisively. The district carries a narrow Democratic partisan voting index advantage, and analysts have shifted ratings toward Riley compared with the prior cycle. Trader consensus in the prediction market, reflected in the Democratic Party's 88% implied probability, aligns with these structural advantages for the incumbent, including name recognition and fundraising patterns typical in competitive House races. No major developments since the primaries have altered positioning ahead of the general election.
