Recent National Weather Service and NOAA model guidance for Houston points to a sunny late-summer pattern with highs in the mid-90s on September 8, supporting trader emphasis on the 92–95°F bins. Light southeast winds, high humidity, and heat-index values exceeding 105°F reflect typical Gulf moisture and minimal cloud cover, while a modest 30% rain chance from sea-breeze convection introduces slight downside risk to peak readings. Historical September 8 averages near 91°F provide context, yet current ridge strength favors above-normal warmth. Updated model runs and afternoon observations before market resolution will determine whether steering patterns or boundary-layer mixing push temperatures toward 96°F or keep them capped near 93°F.
