Apvienotais saraksts (AS) holds a commanding lead in trader consensus for the October 3, 2026, Saeima election due to its position as the largest party in recent polling after Andris Kulbergs became prime minister in a May government transition. Support for AS has risen steadily since then, drawing from other center-right and regional lists amid a fragmented field where most competitors poll below 15 percent. Latvia’s proportional system with a 5 percent threshold typically requires post-election coalition talks, yet the current gap leaves limited room for another list to overtake AS on vote share. Late campaign developments, turnout shifts among key regions, or unexpected alliances could still narrow the margin before election day.
