Recent National Weather Service and model forecasts position the overnight low for San Francisco on September 20 in the 56–59°F range, driving the 88.5% market-implied probability for 56–57°F. Persistent marine layer clouds, light west-southwest winds, and typical September coastal moderation have limited radiative cooling overnight, keeping temperatures above the 55.8°F climatological average low. Official guidance shows no significant cold-air advection or clear-sky window that would allow a sharper drop, while historical records for the date indicate 51°F or below occurs infrequently under similar setups. Updated model runs and evening observations continue to support this narrow band ahead of final daily minimum readings.
