**Forecast consensus from the National Weather Service and multiple models points to a high near 100–101°F for Austin on August 29 under mostly sunny skies, light south to southeast winds, and minimal cloud cover or precipitation chances (under 10–20%).** This aligns directly with the market's leading 100–101°F outcome at 59.5% implied probability. Recent observations show a slight cooldown from peak heat: Austin recorded 104°F on August 27 and 99–101°F on August 28, following earlier August highs up to 107°F. Persistent subtropical high pressure, above-normal seasonal baselines (August average high ~96°F), and low humidity supporting strong daytime heating continue to favor upper-90s to low-100s readings, with limited model spread keeping 98–99°F and 102–103°F as secondary possibilities. Traders appear to be weighting official NWS guidance and short-term model runs most heavily ahead of tomorrow's resolution.
