Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate highs near 100°F in Austin on September 13, 2026, aligning with the market's leading 100-101°F outcome at 42% implied probability. Persistent southerly flow advects warm, moist Gulf air under weak high pressure, promoting strong diurnal heating with mostly sunny skies and light winds limiting mixing. This setup favors temperatures in the upper 90s to low 100s, consistent with late-summer climatology where September averages 91.6°F but recent years have seen 96–98°F. Differentiation among 98–99°F versus 102–103°F hinges on afternoon cloud cover or minor shifts in boundary-layer moisture, which official updates from the National Weather Service will clarify before resolution.
