Persistent high pressure, clear skies, and above-normal dew points supporting heat indices above 105°F anchor trader expectations around the mid-to-upper 90s. Minor model spread in afternoon mixing and any isolated convection introduces uncertainty between 94–99°F bins, consistent with their near-equal market shares. September climatology places the average daily high near 91°F, underscoring how anomalous current guidance remains ahead of final observational data.
