Current forecast consensus from the Met Office and global models shows a daytime high of 20–21 °C for London on 18 September under a mild southwesterly flow of Atlantic air. Moderate winds, increasing afternoon cloud cover, and near-average September humidity are expected to limit solar heating, keeping maxima close to seasonal norms rather than allowing stronger warming. Recent model runs have remained stable with no significant shifts in the 24–48 hours, reinforcing trader positioning around 20 °C (54.5 % implied probability) while leaving room for 21 °C if skies clear more than anticipated. Resolution will hinge on the official Met Office maximum recorded at the London site.
