Forecast consensus from short-range models such as GFS indicates mostly clear skies, light variable winds, and stable high pressure over Madrid for September 23, supporting peak afternoon temperatures near 32–33 °C. This aligns with the market's leading 33 °C outcome at 30 % implied probability while spreading volume across 31–35 °C bins amid typical 1–2 °C model spread and local urban heat-island effects. September 2026 has run several degrees above the 1991–2020 September average high of 26.5 °C, yet a gradual seasonal decline is evident in recent observations. Resolution hinges on official station readings at sites like Retiro Park; traders will monitor updated model runs and any late adjustments to surface heating or cloud cover through the 48-hour window.
