Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and GFS-based models project a high in the upper 80s for Miami on September 20, driven by typical late-summer moisture, light variable winds shifting southeast, and afternoon sea-breeze convergence favoring scattered thunderstorms with 60-70% probability. These conditions often cap daytime peaks through increased cloud cover and evaporative cooling, aligning with historical September averages near 88-89°F while limiting outliers above 90°F. Recent model runs show stable consensus without major shifts, positioning the 88-89°F bin as the market leader at 40.5% implied probability, followed by 86-87°F. Traders appear to weigh the balance between potential brief clearing for higher readings and thunderstorm timing that could suppress the maximum.
