Official National Weather Service observations recorded a maximum of 64°F at San Francisco International Airport on September 20, 2026, aligning precisely with the market's 100% implied probability for the 64-65°F bin. This reading fell 11°F below the 1991-2020 normal of 75°F amid persistent marine layer influence, fog, and haze that suppressed daytime heating under southwest winds. The outcome reflects verified station data rather than model projections, with high market confidence stemming from the event's completion and alignment with multiple forecast sources. Only an undetected station discrepancy or resolution rule change would realistically alter the result, both considered improbable given the consensus.
