Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Forecasts from sources including timeanddate.com and the UK Met Office center a daily maximum of 25–26°C for Mexico City on August 13, driven by the city’s 2,240-meter elevation and peak rainy-season convection. Afternoon cloud build-up and scattered showers, fueled by monsoon moisture and daytime heating, routinely limit solar insolation and cap temperatures near the August climatological average of 24–25°C. Recent model guidance shows only modest spread on the exact timing of these clouds and precipitation, which can shift the observed high by 1°C depending on whether convection initiates before or after peak heating. This scientific uncertainty in short-term convective evolution explains the tight market contest between the 26°C (40.5%) and 25°C (36.5%) outcomes, with lower probabilities assigned to outliers outside the narrow forecast envelope.
