Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Marine layer and onshore westerly flow are keeping San Francisco's August 28 high in the upper 60s.** National Weather Service forecasts peg the daily maximum near 68°F under mostly cloudy skies with a slight morning shower chance and sustained west winds of 10-20 mph that enhance cooling. This aligns with the climatological average of 69.7°F while reflecting the typical late-summer suppression of interior heat by the Pacific marine layer. Recent model runs show limited warming potential, with highs unlikely to reach the low 70s absent a strong offshore shift. Trader consensus clustering on 68-69°F and 70-71°F brackets reflects this narrow uncertainty range, informed by official guidance and historical analogs where similar patterns produced highs of 66-72°F.
