Official National Weather Service forecasts for August 30 highlight a persistent marine layer and strong onshore flow from the cool California Current, supporting a high near 66°F at San Francisco International Airport and keeping readings below the 69.8°F climatological average. Trader emphasis on the 66–69°F bins reflects model consensus on limited afternoon clearing and variable wind strength, with any stratus thinning or lighter flow potentially adding a few degrees while reinforced sea breezes favor the lower end. Recent observations confirm cool Pacific waters near 55–58°F and typical August suppression of inland heating effects, creating the observed probability distribution amid inherent short-term forecast uncertainty.
