Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance indicate a strengthening frontal system will bring widespread rain and thick cloud cover to western Washington on September 25, sharply limiting solar heating and capping the daily high. Official forecasts center on 59–60°F with 85–100% precipitation probability, while private models range from 58°F to 62°F depending on exact rain onset timing, marine layer depth, and wind direction. This narrow spread around the 58–61°F bins explains the closely matched leading market probabilities near 28% each. Cooler-than-normal September conditions and the absence of clear-sky warming keep odds of 64°F or higher below 12%, with resolution hinging on final observed maximum at official Seattle stations.
