Current National Weather Service forecasts for Houston indicate overnight lows in the mid-70s on September 25 under partly cloudy skies with light northeast winds, consistent with the ongoing warm, humid pattern and absence of significant frontal passages or tropical moisture. This aligns with recent climatological trends showing elevated minimum temperatures amid above-average sea surface temperatures in the Gulf, though model runs retain some spread in cloud cover and boundary-layer mixing that could shift the actual minimum by a few degrees. Trader positioning, with 86°F or higher as the leading implied outcome at 49%, reflects ongoing uncertainty around potential forecast revisions or localized warming effects ahead of resolution, while the 25% on 67°F or below captures tail risks from any unexpected cooler advection. Updated NWS guidance and hourly observations over the next 48 hours remain the key near-term catalysts.
