This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Benito Juárez International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 25 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=mmmx To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Trader consensus heavily favors 14°C as the lowest temperature recorded in Mexico City on August 25, 2026 (95.5% implied probability), consistent with official station observations.** Pre-dawn readings from the central meteorological station (elevation ~2,300 m) reached 14°C under persistent cloud cover, high humidity near 84–94%, and light winds associated with the ongoing rainy season. Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (SMN) forecasts issued the prior day projected minimums of 12–14°C amid scattered showers and fog in higher zones, aligning closely with measured values. Nearby stations and historical August climatology (typical overnight lows 10–13°C) support this outcome, with reduced radiational cooling from extensive cloudiness preventing deeper drops seen on clearer nights. Realistic challenges include localized readings at elevated western alcaldías (e.g., Cuajimalpa) falling to 12–13°C or post-event data revisions, though the broad station network and model consensus make these low-probability outcomes.
