A swift rebound followed, with prices surging more than 10% to $81.11 by May 8, fueled by dollar weakness, recovering risk appetite, and persistent supply deficits projected at 46 million ounces for 2026 by the Silver Institute, alongside robust industrial demand from solar and electronics sectors.
