Carolina Alves enters this ITF Sao Paulo encounter as the clear favorite against Berta Bonardi, backed by a significantly higher WTA ranking near 335 versus Bonardi’s position around 598. The Brazilian has secured two ITF singles titles on clay in 2026, including a June victory in Cuiabá, while posting an 18-14 record. Bonardi, an Argentine, carries a 7-13 mark this season with limited recent success. The clay surface aligns with Alves’ stronger results, and playing in Brazil provides a notable home-country edge. Both players are in their early 30s with extensive ITF experience, yet Alves’ momentum and ranking edge shape current trader consensus on the outcome.
