Duncan Chan faces Timo Legout in the second round of the ITF M25 Laval on outdoor hard courts, a lower-tier professional event where both players seek ranking points and momentum. The 20-year-old Canadian Chan, currently ranked near 640, brings recent ITF experience on North American hard courts and benefits from competing close to home. Legout, a 24-year-old Frenchman with a career-high ATP ranking of 406, holds more overall experience at this level but has shown inconsistent results in recent M25 events, including matches in the U.S. Neither player has notable injury concerns reported, and the matchup lacks prior head-to-head history. Home-surface familiarity and current form trends in hard-court ITF play shape trader views on the implied probabilities for this encounter.
