Sofia Kenin faces Daria Snigur in the Lexus Eastbourne Open qualifying rounds on grass, a surface that rewards strong serving and quick adaptation. Kenin, the 2020 Australian Open champion with prior Eastbourne success, enters with a challenging 3-13 singles record in 2026 and limited recent match wins. Snigur arrives in stronger form after claiming a WTA 125 title in Oeiras and reaching the 's-Hertogenbosch quarterfinals on grass, where she posted wins over Paula Badosa. Ranked near No. 75, the Ukrainian also holds the No. 8 qualifying seed. The matchup pits Kenin’s major-tournament experience against Snigur’s current momentum and recent grass-court results ahead of the main-draw cutoff.
