Recent forecasts from multiple models, including those aligned with National Weather Service equivalents and regional analyses, point to a high near 21–22°C in Cape Town on September 9 under mostly sunny skies and moderate southerly winds. This aligns with the market’s tight clustering around those outcomes, where trader consensus reflects the narrow spread between typical spring afternoon peaks and potential slight warming from clear conditions. Historical September averages hover near 18°C, but current patterns show above-normal warmth persisting into early spring, with low precipitation risk supporting higher readings. Key uncertainties include minor model disagreements on peak timing and local variations near Table Mountain, with final official measurements from stations like Cape Town International likely resolving the market. Updated guidance expected overnight could shift probabilities if winds strengthen or cloud cover increases.
