Recent National Weather Service and model consensus point to a Tuesday high near 91°F in Chicago, with partly cloudy skies, southwest flow, and only a 20-30% rain chance, positioning the 90-91°F bin as the clear market leader. This reflects a persistent warm, humid air mass typical of early September climatology, where average highs reach the low 80s but recent patterns have trended several degrees above normal. Minor model spread around intensification or slight cooling keeps the 88-89°F and 92-93°F outcomes as secondary contenders, while probabilities for extremes remain low given the stable steering pattern and absence of frontal passages before resolution. Updated model runs and NWS briefings over the next 48 hours represent the key data points that could still shift implied odds.
