Trader consensus favors a Houston high of 94-95°F on August 28, reflecting late-summer subtropical conditions with strong insolation, high dew points, and light winds under a typical Bermuda high-pressure pattern. National Weather Service model guidance shows afternoon temperatures peaking in the mid-90s before scattered thunderstorms develop, a common seasonal feature that can cap maximum readings through increased cloud cover and outflow. Historical August averages near 93°F provide context, while forecast uncertainty stems from variable convective timing and any weak frontal influences that could shift the peak by a degree or two. Updated model runs and evening observations will refine these probabilities ahead of market resolution.
