Traders have converged on a 31°C high for Panama City on September 14 because official meteorological observations from national monitoring stations recorded that exact peak under typical late-summer conditions of high humidity, light winds, and clear skies that maximized solar heating. This aligns with regional climatology, where September daytime maxima frequently reach 30–32°C, and current forecast model runs from regional agencies showed strong consensus around this value with minimal spread. Market-implied odds reflect the skin-in-the-game assessment of verified station data rather than projections. Resolution could shift only if post-analysis quality control revises the official maximum or if authorities apply a different primary station, though such changes are uncommon for daily temperature records.
