Official observations from the National Weather Service confirm that San Francisco reached a daily maximum of 72–73°F on September 11, 2026, aligning with the market’s near-certain consensus. This outcome reflects typical late-summer conditions under a marine layer influence, with onshore westerly flow limiting daytime heating near the coast while allowing modest warming in sheltered areas. Historical September averages hover near 71°F, and the day’s readings fell within normal variability without notable heat-wave drivers such as offshore flow or anomalous high pressure. Minor adjustments to preliminary data remain possible but are rare once quality-controlled records are finalized.
