Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in Slovenia on March 22, 2026. This market will resolve to the next individual who is officially elected by the National Assembly (Državni zbor) and sworn in as Prime Minister of Slovenia following the next parliamentary election. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally sworn in. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Prime Minister is sworn in by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Slovenia; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Following Slovenia's March 2026 parliamentary elections, which produced a hung parliament with Freedom Movement (GS) at 29 seats and Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) at 28, trader consensus heavily favors Janez Janša as next Prime Minister at 74% implied probability, reflecting the right-wing bloc's momentum. The pivotal April 10 National Assembly speaker election saw Resni.ca leader Zoran Stevanović prevail with 48 votes from SDS, NSi-led alliance (9 seats), and Resni.ca (5 seats), blocking incumbent Robert Golob and signaling potential center-right coalition formation excluding GS. Jernej Vrtovec (NSi) at 11.2% and Anže Logar (Democrats, 6 seats) emerge as compromise options amid stalled cross-bloc talks, with President Nataša Pirc Musar set to nominate a candidate soon.
