The district's established Republican lean, shaped by voter registration patterns and consistent past election results in California's Central Valley, drives the strong market consensus favoring a Republican winner. This positioning aligns with historical base rates for similar seats, where incumbency advantages and turnout dynamics typically reinforce the leading party's prospects. Late developments such as candidate withdrawals, major scandals, health-related absences, or unexpected national political shifts could still narrow the gap ahead of the November election.
