Official National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts for Atlanta on September 2, 2026, indicate a minimum overnight low in the mid-70s under clear skies, light variable winds, and continued southerly flow within a strong heat dome. This setup, with daytime highs near 95–97°F and minimal overnight cooling, drives the market's dominant 91% implied probability on 76–77°F—well above the 1991–2020 climatological average low of 69°F. Trader positioning aligns with verified observational trends and recent heat advisories. A late surge in low-level moisture, unexpected cloud cover, or revised model runs showing greater radiative cooling could still shift the realized minimum lower.
