Latest National Weather Service and GFS/ECMWF model consensus for Austin on September 14 projects overnight lows in the upper 70s under continued southerly flow, high humidity, and partly cloudy skies that limit radiational cooling. This setup supports the market's tight clustering around 74–77°F bins as traders weigh minor downward adjustments from urban heat island effects, variable cloud cover, or slight model cooling biases against the strong warm anomaly. Historical September minima average near 68°F, underscoring how persistent high pressure and warm advection elevate the floor. Key upcoming catalysts include the next GFS/ECMWF runs and local mesonet observations that could refine the exact diurnal minimum before resolution.
