Anthropic’s confidential S-1 filing with the SEC on June 1, 2026, has positioned the Claude developer for a potential 2026 IPO, yet the closely matched market-implied odds reflect ongoing uncertainty over exchange selection. NASDAQ edges slightly ahead due to its established role as the preferred venue for high-growth artificial-intelligence and large-language-model companies seeking deep liquidity and tech-investor visibility, while NYSE offers comparable prestige and institutional access for a firm valued near $1 trillion. “Other” remains competitive because underwriter recommendations, final market conditions, or strategic considerations such as direct listing could still steer the outcome. Key upcoming catalysts include the timing of the public S-1 release, roadshow feedback, and any statements from major backers Amazon and Alphabet that could clarify listing preferences.

For purposes of this market, “NASDAQ” includes all listing tiers of The Nasdaq Stock Market, including the Nasdaq Global Select Market, Nasdaq Global Market, and Nasdaq Capital Market. “NYSE” includes the New York Stock Exchange and other U.S. equity listing exchanges operated under the NYSE brand, including NYSE American, NYSE Arca, and NYSE Texas.
The exchange will be determined based on the primary listing venue where Anthropic's shares are initially listed and begin regular-way trading following its IPO.
An IPO refers to Anthropic shares becoming listed and open for trading on a public securities exchange, whether through a traditional initial public offering or a direct listing. If Anthropic becomes publicly traded through a merger, SPAC transaction, reverse merger, acquisition, or absorption by an entity that is already publicly traded, this market will resolve to "Other".
If Anthropic lists on multiple exchanges simultaneously, the exchange designated as the primary listing venue by the company or in official exchange materials will be used for resolution.
If Anthropic lists primarily on an exchange other than the Nasdaq Stock Market or the New York Stock Exchange, or if its shares do not begin regular-way public trading through an IPO or direct listing by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other".
Announcements, reports, or indications of intended listing venue prior to the IPO will not be considered. The market will resolve based on the actual listing at the time trading begins.
The primary resolution source will be official information from Anthropic or the relevant exchange; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
