Gracinha Caiado (União Brasil) holds a polling lead in the Goiás Senate race for one of two seats, yet trader pricing reflects a fragmented field of over two dozen registered candidates where no one commands a dominant share. Recent surveys, including Genial/Quaest and Directa from late July and early August 2026, place Caiado in the low 30s while Gustavo Gayer (PL), Vanderlan Cardoso (PSD), and Dr. Zacharias Calil (MDB) trail in the teens or lower, with the remainder split among lesser-known contenders. The tight market stems from uncertain voter turnout, shifting alliances ahead of the October general election, and the possibility that second-place momentum or regional strongholds could reorder the top finishers. Late campaign events, endorsements, or turnout surges in key municipalities remain the main variables that could separate the leader from the pack.
