The 2027 Guerrero gubernatorial race remains highly fragmented more than a year before voting, with trader consensus reflecting an open field of Morena-aligned and opposition aspirants. Early polling shows Morena holding a substantial lead in overall party preference, yet internal competition among figures such as Evodio Velázquez Aguirre, Carlos Reyes Torres, Eloy Salmerón Díaz, Héctor Astudillo Flores, Pablo Amílcar Sandoval Ballesteros, and Félix Salgado Macedonio has prevented any contender from consolidating support. Recent surveys from mid-2026 highlight this dispersion, alongside party discussions over candidate viability and potential exclusions. The distant timeline, unresolved Morena internal processes, and possibility of new entrants or alliances sustain the tight probabilities. Upcoming party conventions, official registrations, or major endorsements could begin to consolidate the field and shift odds.
