**Early positioning in Mexico’s 2027 Colima gubernatorial race keeps probabilities clustered near even odds, with Rosa María Bayardo Cabrera (Rosi Bayardo) at 43.5% and several others—including Leoncio Alfonso Morán Sánchez, Joel Padilla Peña, and Virgilio Mendoza Amezcua—near 42%.** Traders reflect the absence of consolidated frontrunners or public polling this far ahead of the vote. Colima’s incumbent Morena administration and the party’s broader effort to retain its governorships create a fluid field dominated by local and federal figures. Bayardo, the licensed mayor of Manzanillo, has drawn recent attention through state-level coordination moves within Morena, while other listed names represent a mix of prior-cycle contenders, legislators, and party operatives. No major candidate declarations, primary dates, or statewide surveys have yet produced measurable separation. The tight market consensus stems from high uncertainty typical of Mexican state races at this stage: nomination processes, coalition negotiations, and voter priorities around security and economic conditions remain unresolved. Scheduled party surveys, formal registrations, or early polling could shift individual probabilities; late developments such as scandals or federal endorsements would likely widen gaps among the field.
