Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Atlanta on September 23 project a high near 82°F under partly sunny skies with a 40-50% chance of showers and thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon. Easterly flow and increasing moisture from a nearby frontal boundary are expected to limit peak heating through enhanced cloud cover and potential convective cooling, creating uncertainty in the exact maximum. This aligns with historical late-September averages near 81°F while highlighting how timing of precipitation and boundary-layer mixing can shift outcomes by several degrees. Traders appear to weigh these variables heavily, favoring the 76-81°F range as model consensus evolves ahead of final observations.
