This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Minister Pistarini Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 5 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=saez If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Recent model consensus and observational data from agencies like the National Meteorological Service of Argentina indicate a strong cold front has advected cooler maritime polar air into the region, with southwest winds gusting 20–40 km/h suppressing daytime warming.** Forecasts from multiple sources, including hourly runs updated on September 4, project a maximum temperature of 12–13 °C under mostly clear skies for September 5, consistent with the market’s leading outcomes at 13 °C (47 %) and 14 °C (32.5 %). This represents a sharp drop from the 17 °C high recorded on September 4 and well below the climatological September average near 19 °C. Key drivers include the front’s timing, limited insolation due to wind mixing, and minimal cloud cover preventing radiative warming. Traders appear to weigh the tight clustering of deterministic and ensemble guidance around these values, with lower probabilities assigned to outliers above 15 °C or below 12 °C given the stable post-frontal environment. Updated model runs and official observations through the evening of September 4 remain the primary near-term catalysts.
