Recent forecasts for Shanghai on September 4 point to a multi-cloud day with highs centered on 29–30°C, supporting the near-even market odds between 30°C and 31°C. Persistent northeasterly flow, elevated humidity near 75%, and scattered showers limit daytime solar heating and cap maximum temperatures below recent peaks. Model consensus from sources such as Meteoprog and Yr.no shows modest variability tied to exact cloud timing and any brief clearing that could allow an extra degree of warming. Historical September averages near 29°C provide context, while the current post-rain stabilization favors the tightly bunched 30–31°C outcomes over extremes. Updated model runs expected within 24 hours will clarify any shifts before resolution.
