This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Helsinki Vantaa Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 4 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=efhk If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast models for Helsinki on September 4, 2026, show a maximum temperature most likely between 17–18 °C, with patchy rain or cloudy conditions limiting daytime heating.** Multiple sources, including easeweather, Worldmeteo, Met Office, and WeatherBug, converge on a daytime high near 18 °C (roughly 64–65 °F) under southwesterly flow, with lows around 8–11 °C overnight. This aligns closely with the long-term average high of ~17.5 °C for the date. The tight market spread between 17 °C (37 %) and 18 °C (31.5 %) reflects genuine forecast uncertainty in the final model runs. Key differentiating factors include the exact timing and intensity of any rain or increased cloud cover, which can suppress the peak by 1 °C, versus clearer intervals that allow brief warming toward 19 °C. Recent warmer conditions on September 2 (~20 °C highs) are giving way to a cooling trend as a frontal boundary approaches from the west, consistent with early-September climatology. Traders are weighting the latest high-resolution guidance and ensemble spread, which shows limited upside beyond 19 °C given the marine influence from the Baltic and expected precipitation. Resolution will depend on official observations from Helsinki-Vantaa or Kaisaniemi stations, with the highest hourly or daily maximum determining the outcome.
