Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Recent forecasts from the National Weather Service and major models show Atlanta under persistent high pressure with abundant sunshine and light easterly winds, supporting a mid-90s high on September 4 amid an ongoing early-September heat wave several degrees above the 86°F climatological norm. Consensus guidance clusters around 95–96°F, with limited afternoon convection possible but unlikely to substantially suppress the peak. Trader sentiment, reflected in the near-even split between 94–95°F and 96–97°F bins, centers on minor model spread regarding exact boundary-layer mixing and any late-day cloud cover, while the low probabilities assigned to 98°F+ or sub-93°F outcomes align with the narrow uncertainty range in current guidance. Updated model runs and NWS briefings through September 3 will provide the next key data points.
