The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Recent short-term forecasts from sources including WeatherBug and ensemble models indicate Miami highs on September 2 clustering in the upper 80s to low 90s, with partly sunny skies and afternoon thunderstorm chances that could moderate peak readings. This positions the market's leading implied probabilities on 90-91°F (51%) and 92-93°F (30.5%) as aligned with expected late-summer warmth driven by elevated sea-surface temperatures and lingering El Niño influences favoring above-normal conditions across the Southeast. Historical climatology shows early-September Miami highs averaging near 88-90°F, with recent August extremes (including a 100°F record) underscoring persistent heat but also typical convective capping. Traders appear to weigh model consensus against potential forecast revisions from the National Weather Service as the date approaches, while lower-probability bins reflect uncertainty in exact storm timing and intensity.
