Current weather model consensus from sources like GFS and ECMWF points to a September 3 high near 30°C in Shanghai, driven by northeasterly flow, widespread cloud cover, and 70-80% thunderstorm chances that limit solar heating in the city's humid subtropical climate. These conditions align with early September baselines around 29-31°C, where moisture from lingering monsoon influences or weak frontal boundaries often moderates peaks. Trader emphasis on 30°C and 31°C reflects this tight forecast spread, though revisions from updated runs or unexpected clearing could shift outcomes toward adjacent bins before resolution.
