Recent ensemble forecasts from models such as GFS place the maximum temperature in Paris on September 22 near 24–25 °C under clear to partly cloudy skies and light northeasterly flow. This range sits 3–4 °C above the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 20.6 °C yet remains well below historical extremes for the date. Stable high pressure and dry northerly advection have limited diurnal temperature spread, tightening the distribution of possible outcomes and supporting the market’s heaviest volume on 24 °C and 25 °C. Updated model runs through 20 September show minimal spread for the daytime maximum, with only modest sensitivity to small shifts in cloud cover or boundary-layer mixing that could nudge readings one degree lower or higher.
