Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private sources indicate a high in the mid-60s°F for San Francisco on September 20, 2026, driven by a persistent marine layer and onshore westerly flow that limits daytime heating through extensive low cloud cover and high humidity near 85-95%. This setup aligns with typical September coastal climatology, where average highs reach about 71°F but often fall short under stratus influence. Current observations show overcast skies and temperatures climbing only slowly from overnight lows in the upper 50s, positioning 64-65°F as the market leader. Any breaks in cloud cover could allow modest warming toward 66-67°F, while sustained marine conditions favor the 62-63°F bin. Updated NWS guidance and afternoon observations will refine these probabilities ahead of market resolution.
