Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to a Sunday low in the upper 60s for downtown Los Angeles, with marine-layer stratus and onshore flow limiting radiational cooling overnight. This pattern, typical for mid-September, has kept overnight minima near or slightly above the 1991–2020 average of 64 °F despite daytime highs in the mid-70s to low 80s. Ensemble spreads remain modest, with most runs clustering between 66–69 °F and only small chances of stronger offshore winds or clearer skies pushing readings lower. Trader consensus around the 68–69 °F bin therefore aligns with the latest forecast consensus, while the elevated probabilities on sub-60 °F or 78 °F+ outcomes reflect residual uncertainty in how quickly the marine layer erodes or strengthens before dawn on the 13th. Updated NWS and high-resolution model runs tonight will provide the next key data point ahead of market resolution.
