Recent warm conditions across Southern California, including daytime highs reaching the mid-90s earlier in the week, have sustained elevated overnight temperatures in Los Angeles, positioning 70-71°F as the market's leading outcome at 51% implied probability. Clear skies and limited marine layer influence have reduced radiational cooling, keeping minimums several degrees above the 1991-2020 September average low of 64°F. Model consensus from recent National Weather Service guidance pointed to upper-60s to low-70s readings at official stations like LAX, with trader sentiment reflecting the absence of stronger onshore flow or cloud cover that typically drives sharper drops. Upcoming verification of the official low will confirm whether residual heat or subtle wind shifts alter the final tally within the narrow 70-73°F range favored by over 76% of market-implied odds.
